From the Leaders

At Mosaic Church we are committed to helping people become followers of Jesus. Our desire is to live and serve, not only one another, but the wider community and the nations beyond. We believe that the message of the Bible is one of Good News, and offers hope and life to all who will receive it. This life is available to all through faith in Jesus Christ, his death and resurrection.

“I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full.”

We believe that God created us for relationship, firstly with himself, and secondly with one another. The cross offers forgiveness, reconciliation and restoration to all that God intended for us from the beginning.

As we journey together in our marriages, our families, our friendships, our community and the wider communities beyond, we will have many opportunities to touch the lives of others. We are discovering together the incredible adventure of following Jesus. We are learning to entwine our own personal stories with his great story. We are choosing to live the life that God offers us; a life of passion and creativity, purpose and significance. We are building a picture of hope and restoration; a beautiful Mosaic of “Life in all it’s fullness”.

Our Name

A mosaic is built up from thousands of tiny, broken pieces. These broken pieces, each unique and beautiful in themselves, are built together to create a work of art that is totally stunning and truly magnificent.

Our name is a very significant one because it came out of our own walk of personal brokenness and subsequent reconciliation and restoration through God’s grace and the message of his cross. This message has impacted our lives in a dynamic and authentic way, and given us a deep insight and compassion for the many people who carry a measure of brokenness in their own lives.

We have a vision to see broken lives healed and transformed, and that as a community of Christ followers, we would endeavour to create a picture which expresses the life, character and awesome magnificence of our creator God. Our great desire is that Mosaic Church would be a community which welcomes diversity and embraces people of all cultures, races and backgrounds. Our dream is that together we will become a vibrant, creative and authentic expression of the Kingdom of God here on earth.

Our Vision

Our heartfelt vision is a simple one: “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength…and love your neighbour as yourself”

We are a group of people who endeavour to live this out in whatever way we can, with integrity, grace and with the help of God. We’re not perfect. Some of our ideas will work; others may not. We look forward to meeting new friends, sharing our stories and enjoying this life that we have.

A story telling church

We are all captivated by a good story; whether it be in the movies we watch, the books we read, or simply hearing them from one another. And all of us have a story to tell.

It is only as we interact our own personal stories with God and one another, that we begin to see how we are all connected to the big picture, and our own personal stories become meaningful. As a church community, we love to tell stories of what God is doing in us and through us – they inspire and encourage us to go and live the life of adventure that we all yearn for.
